किसी गरीबके सामने गर्वभरी वाणी बोलना,उसके साथ रुखा और कठोर व्यवहार करना भगवान् का अपराध है;क्योंकि उस गरीबके रुपमें भगवान् ही तुम्हारे सामने प्रकट हैं।अतएव सभीके साथ नम्र होकर मधुर वाणी बोलो;अपनी विनय-विनम्र पीयूषवर्षिणी वाणी तथा व्यवहारके द्वारा सर्वत्र शीतल मधुर-सुधाकी धारा बहा दो और यह सब करो केवल भगवान् की सेवा के लिये।तुम्हारी सेवासे भगवान् बड़े प्रसन्न होंगे और उनकी प्रसन्नता तुम्हारे जीवनको परम सफ़ल बना देगी।

In front of someone poor, to speak with arrogance, to speak and relate with them roughly and with harshness is a slander on God. God Himself has appeared in front of you in the form of the poor person. Therefore speak with humility and with a sweet and pleasant voice. And relating with others in a courteous-mild, nectar-filled voice, let the cool, sweet-ambrosia flow and do all of this to serve God. God will be very pleased by your service and his happiness will make your life an eternal success.
